Psyllium pellets, with probiotics and camelina oil, formulated from clinical trials for the prevention and removal of sand accumulation in the digestive system of horses. To help maintain general health and promote digestive functions. To promote the maintenance and equilibrium of a normal microbial flora in the digestive tract.
 
For prevention of sand colic:  Administer orally 220 g/day (3 included measure) for 7 consecutive days with grain, once a month.
 
As treatment:  Verify for traces of sand in manure after the 1st week and continue until sand is removed.  This can take a few weeks.
 
Ingredients:  Psyllium seed husks, alfalfa meal, Saccharomyces Cerevisiae yeast culture, yeast brewers dehydrated, camelina oil, flavor.

Consumption of sand and dirt by horses can cause chronic diarrhea, weight loss and colic caused by irritation
and obstruction of the gastrointestinal tract.
 
In two reports, the incidence of sand colic varied from 5% to 30% of all cases of colic. Diagnosis of intestinal sand accumulation is made by one or more of the following: auscultation of the ventral abdomen, fecal sand sedimentation, ultrasound and radiography.
 
Daily supplementation with a probiotic, prebiotic and psyllium supplement demonstrated enhanced fecal sand clearance in clinically normal horses.
